Winter Meadow Cards Will Sparkle
Immerse your family & friends with the love and warmth of the Winter Meadow Suite. Today’s card is clean and simple layout that is easy to reproduce, so let’s head to the craft table and create.
The card base and ink coordinate with the colors in the Winter Meadow DSP and the simple layout of a single mat, focal image, and sentiment strip make this card easy to reproduce.
I began by adding the mat directly to the card base. I then stamped the focal image, from the Magical Meadow Bundle, in Misty Moonlight, positioned the coordinating die, and ran it through the SCEM (Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine).
I stamped the sentiment, with VersaMark ink, toward the right edge of the sentiment strip, heat embossed it with white embossing powder, and then adhered it along the right edge and toward the bottom of the mat.
I dry fit the ribbon and focal image toward the left edge of the sentiment strip. When satisfied, I adhered the ribbon, added dimensionals to the back of the focal image, and adhered it over the ribbon so the dimensionals were placed directly to the card base.
The interior sentiment, from the Joy To You stamp set, is stamped in Misty Moonlight.
I adhered a strip of the DSP to the bottom of the Basic White mat and then adhered the mat to the inside of the card base.
Don’t forget to decorate the envelope!
The fun of receiving snail mail begins with the envelope.
I decorated this envelope by stamping the focal image in the front, lower right corner.
Other ways to decorate an envelope include:
- Dry emboss the envelope flap.
- Stamped the envelope flap, along the left edge, or across the bottom.
- Adhere DSP along the front left edge and/or across the bottom.
- Die Cut a label out of DSP large enough to adhere a mailing label of the addressee on it and still see the design of the DSP peaking out around the edges of the mailing label.
