Welcome to the July 2023 Inspirations In Ink Blog Hop. Thank you for visiting my page. The Inspirations In Ink team is a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators world-wide who have banned together to provide you with inspiration for creating handmade cards.
Today’s Hop is featuring the Inked Botanicals Suite. The pressed and inked flowers, leaves, and other botanical images illustrated in the DSP and stamps will bring new life to to your handcrafted cards with design elements inspired by texture of nature.
My card, although simple, shows off all products included in this Suite.
This Suite includes: The Inked & Tiled stamp set, Inked & Tiled Punch Pack (2 punches), Botanical Inked DSP, and Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon. The color palette of the DSP include: Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Lost Lagoon, and Pool Party.
The directions to create this card are listed below. This is a quick and simple card to create, I hope you will give it a try.
Front
Cut all the pieces according to measurements listed below.
Punch out a number of the images from the DSP using the coordinating punch pack.
Die cut the label using the largest banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
Emboss the sentiment toward the left edge of the banner label Rub the Embossing Buddy over the label to remove static. Stamp the sentiment in VersaMark ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt the powder with the heat tool. It should be a glossy white when finished.
Select the side of DSP you want visible. On the non-visible side add Tear & Tape along the left and right edges.
Lay the Lost Lagoon Border Ribbon along the front approximately 1 1/2″ from the bottom of the DSP. Adhere the ribbon ends to the Tear & Tape on the back.
Adhere the DSP to the card base.
Place Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the label and adhere centered over the ribbon closer t the left edge.
Select one of the punch pieces and add a single Stampin’ Dimensional Toward the right edge. Add glue to the other side and adhere to the sentiment label.
Embellish! I used 3 Iridescent Pastel Gem around the label then finished it off with a Brushed Brass Butterfly on the sentiment label.
Inside
Stamp the interior sentiment on the Very Vanilla mat. (I didn’t do this step because I am not sure what I will used this card for.)
Adhere the small strip of DSP along the right edge of the mat.
Adhere a single punched image in the lower right corner.
Adhere the Very Vanilla mat to the inside of the card base.
Don’t forget to decorate the envelope!
The fun of receiving snail mail begins with the envelope.
I decorated the envelope by adhering the 6″ x 2 1/4″ piece of Inked Botanicals DSP to the flap, then trimmed off the excess.
I had punched images left over so I added a few of them to the front lower left corner of the envelope.
Inked Botanicals DSP 5 1/4″ x 4″ 3/4″ x 4″ 6″ x 2 1/4″ Scrap
Basic White 5 1/4″ x 4″ – inside mat
