December Inspirations In Ink Hop
Presents Framed Florets Bundle

Welcome to  Inspiration in Ink’s monthly Blog Hop. Framed Florets Bundle/Fitting Florets Collection is the focus for December.

The Inspirations In Ink team is a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators world-wide who have banned together to provide you with inspiration for creating handmade cards. You may be starting here or joining me from another hop members page, either way, I hope you will continue on the hop by clicking on the Blog Roll at the end of this post. Don’t forget when visiting to leave them a little “love.” Please ask if you have any questions.

If you like cards that are quick and easy, but have an elegant finish this is definitely the set for you. Several dies match flowers in the Fitting Florets DSP, while the large Frame Dies make for stunning sentiment focal pieces.

Here are the steps to create the card front. . .

  1. Place the front of the card base in the Fern Embossing Folder and run it though the SCEM.
  2. Cut the center out of the large fancy frame out of a light DSP pattern. You could use a solid color for this as well, which you will see me do through out the month.
  3.  Die cut the small oval frame out of Polished Pink card stock, and set the Polished Pink frame aside to be used in next step. (Save the interior oval for use on another project.)
  4. Stamp the sentiment on the oval die cut. Then adhered the Polished Pink frame to it and add dimensionals to the back.
  5. Adhere DSP pattern #2 to the front of the  card base at the bottom.
  6. Place a piece of Tear & Tape on the tiny strip of Polished Pink card stock (or Soft Succulent, if you prefer) and adhere the top edge of the DSP.
  7. remove the Tear & Tape backing and adhere one end of the Polished Pink Ribbon to the center of the strip and wrap it around the card adhere the other end to the tape.
  8. Center your sentiment frame over the top half of the card base, but making sure to cover the ribbon.
  9. Adhere 1 DSP die cut flower to the top left of the frame. Tuck the other DSP flower slightly under the frame, but over the ribbon toward the bottom right and adhere.
  10. Embellish with with a bow on the lower left of the sentiment and Iridescent Rhinestone Gems.

Don’t forget to take the extra few minutes to decorate the inside and envelop of the card!

Even when done simply,  these extra steps are guaranteed to make your card stand out among all the other snail mail your family and friend receive.
