During college I began card making and paper crafting.  Doing so relaxed me in stressful times.  Furthermore, my handmade cards often amused and touched family and friends alike.  From the start, I’ve loved blending soft watercolors to create ethereal naturescapes or stamping loud puppy paws on bold primary colors. After decades, I became a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator to share my creative spirit, love of color, and crafting knowledge with others. 

Stamping on a grander scale has provided peace in my difficult life, for I am a Cystic Fibrosis and Transplant warrior. I have lived most of my life in the hospital or at home doing therapies to stay healthy. Focusing on creative endeavors such as card making and paper crafting have brought me unimaginable solace. In February 2013 I was listed for lung transplant, and on October 26, 2013 the gift of healthy lungs arrived. I could finally breathe, laugh, and move without coughing! However, two and a half years after my lung transplant, I went into renal failure. For years I was relegated to a dialysis machine, then in June of 2021 received a kidney transplant. Sadly, one of the many complications of this second transplant was the loss of my vision.  For months I didn’t know if I would ever see clearly again. During this time, I discovered ways to continue stamping, despite the physical challenges. If you struggle with vision impairment, reach out to me for tips. Now I have another chance to carry on with the art I love. Given this chance, I hope to share my work and joy with you!
