Directions

This card is built vertically. Use photo above for reference any time you have questions about dies used or placement of stamping or die cuts. (Images further explaining the process are included in the instructions. However, the DSP may be different than that used in the photo of the completed card, so always refer to the photo above for layout guidance.)

Cut card base and mats as listed in the Materials & Measurements Section.

Stamp the sentiment on the interior mat in Evening Evergreen ink. At the bottom of the mat stamp the stars streamer twice, once in Soft Succulent and once in Cherry Cobbler Ink. On Soft Succulent scrap stamp the garland in Evening Evergreen.

Place and secure the largest Deckled Rectangle (#1) on the Evening Evergreen mat and the smallest Deckled Rectangle on Cherry Cobbler Mat. Place and secure the Thick Window frame to the Distressed Gold DSP, Frame the garland, and secure the die. Place the Outline Christmas Tree die on the Soft Succulent scrap. Run all through the SCEM. (After step 4 the sentiment strip will be run through the SCEM again to cut it to size.) Place the Deckled Rectangle mat into the Painted Texture Embossing Folder and run through the SCEM.

Prep the Soft Succulent and Cherry Cobbler scrap by rubbing the Embossing Buddy over the scrap. Using VersaMark ink stamp the tree on Soft Succulent scrap and the sentiment toward the edge of the Cherry Cobbler scrap. Set the 2 pieces into the Embossing Tray and cover with Gold Embossing Powder. Tap off the excess powder and pour it back into its container. Warm up the heat gun. Carefully pick up the tree with the Embossing Tweezers, point the heat gun at the tree until the powder melts and becomes a shiny gold. Repeat process with the sentiment. (Be careful not to burn the embossing powder or paper.) Reframe the sentiment to cut it down to fit the size of the sentiment, or just cut it with a scissors because a straight edge would work just as well. Run it through the SCEM again.

Assemble: Center the gold window frame toward the top of the Evening Evergreen mat and adhere. Place the garland over the window frame and adhere. Place dimensionals on the back o the tree and adhere towards the bottom of the Evening Evergreen mat, slightly left of center and adhere. (This slight placement allows the label to fit and the card to be well weighted.) Adhere the sentiment by placing one dimensional on the right edge and glue on the left side of the labels. Adhere to the bottom right corner of the Evening Evergreen mat with the left edge of the label overlapping the Christmas tree.

Embellish: Tie a bow with the Gold Shimmer ribbon and secure with Glue Dot to center of the garland. Place 9 Cherry Cobbler Festive Pearl around the garland with 3 at the top above the bow and the rest groups of 1 and 2 on the sides as shown in photo.

Don’t forget to decorate the envelope! The joy of receiving snail mail begins with the envelope.

Stamp the tree or other greenery in Evening Evergreen on the front bottom left corner of the Very Vanilla envelop.
