This Fresh As A Daisies Fun Fold will make you smile

For card #3, creating with the Fresh As A Daisy Suite, I decided to make a fun fold and I love how it turned out. I hope you will give this card a try. Take a look below for instructions and supply lists.

When you are done checking out the card, don’t forget to take a look at all the happenings with Stampin’ Up! this week. They can be found near the
bottom of the post.

With the bold color combination of Boho Blue and Copper Clay, this cut apart block served as my inspiration for this fun fold birthday card.

MEASUREMENT

  • Boho Blue
    Card base – 4 1/4″ x 11″ score @ 5 1/2″
    6″ x 2″ score @ 2″
    4 3/4″ x 3 1/4″
    Scrap
  • Copper Clay
    5 1/4″ x 4″
    3 3/4″ x 1 3/4″
    2 – 4 1/8″ x 2 1/2″
  •  Basic White
    Interior Mat – 5 1/4″ x 4″
    Scrap
  • Fresh As A Daisy DSP
    3 3/4″ x 5″

PREP THE CARD

  • Stamp the interior sentiment on the Basic White mat with Copper Clay ink.
  • Emboss the exterior sentiment on the small Copper Clay Countryside Corners mat.
~Rub paper with the Embossing Buddy.
~Stamp the exterior sentiment centered, toward the top with VersaMark ink.
~Sprinkle with white embossing powder. Tap off excess. Use a hard bristled brush to remove any
       remaining unwanted embossing powder.
~Use Heat Tool to melt the powder until the sentiment is a shiny white.
Be careful not to burn the embossing powder or paper.
  • Run the following through the SCEM.
~Secure Countryside Corners die #3 (Largest Die is #1) to the 1 of the 2 smaller Copper Clay pieces. Need 2.
~Secure Countryside Corners die #2 on the Boho Blue piece. Secure the solid daisy center in the center of the large Boho Blue piece.
~Secure the largest Deckled Rectangle die to the DSP mat.
~Secure the triple daisy die to the Boho Blue scrap. Repeat 2 times.
~Secure the triple daisy die leaves to Basic White scrap.
Do not loose the inner piece of the leaves. You will be using them.
~Secure the coordinating daisy detail dies to Basic White scrap. Repeat 2 times.

ASSEMBLE THE FRONT

  • Adhere Deckled Rectangle DSP to the Copper Clay mat and adhere compiled mat to card base.
  • Adhere the Copper Clay sentiment piece to he coordinating Boho Blue piece.
  • Adhere the Copper Clay strip to the 4″ side of the Boho Blue Strip.
  • Dry fit the following.
~Slip the scored 2″ end of the compiled strip between the front cover and inside of the card base.
~Center the Countryside Corner die cut from side to side, but toward the top of the front.
~Arrange the daisies on the sentiment label. I cut one set of daisies apart to arrange them.
  • When satisfied remove the center of the Boho Blue leaves and replace them with the
centers of the Basic White leaves.
I used Tear & Tape on the back side of the leaves to secure the centers in place.
  • Adhere all the daisies die cuts to the  Countryside Corners mat being careful not to
glue anything to the card front.
  • Adhere the detailed daisy die cuts to the coordinating daisies.
  • Center the compiled focal image to the strip and adhere.
  • Center and adhere the remaining Copper Clay Countryside Corners die cut to the
back side of the focal image. This step give the card a cleaner look.

ASSEMBLE THE INSIDE

  • Open card making sure the strip remains in desired position. Add glue to the 2″ piece and fold the back of the card over the front of the card. Folding the back over the front ensures that the strip will remain in the desired position.
  • Adhere the interior mat over the 2″ strip.
  • Add a half daisy die cut in the lower left corner.

EMBELLISH

  • Add a 2023-2024 In Color Dot to the center of each daisy on the front flap.
  • Color the detailed daisy centers with Wink of Stella.
  • Note: I added a Brushed Brass Butterfly after I completed this post.

Don’t forget to decorate the envelope!

The fun of receiving snail mail begins with the envelope.

I decorated this envelope by adding a large daisy with leaves to the front lower left corner of the envelope.

Other ways to decorate an envelope include:

  • Dry emboss the envelope flap.
  • Stamped the envelope flap, along the left edge or across the bottom.
  • Adhere DSP to the envelope flap, along the front left edge, and/or across the bottom.
  • Die Cut a label out of DSP large enough to adhere a mailing label of the addressee on it and still see the design of the DSP peaking out around the edges of the mailing label.
