Send Warm Magical Meadow Wishes

In the Midwest, the onset of the cold December weather is a reminder of family, friends, and the warmth of the holiday season. Create and send a reminder to family and friends that it is important to spend time with those important to you using the Magical Meadow Bundle.

Today’s easy Magical Meadow Fun Fold card delivers a reminder of the warmth and beauty of the holiday season, so head to your craft table and let’s create this card and send it on its way.

The rich and vibrant color palette was inspired by the colors found in the piece of Magical Meadow DSP I chose to use. They include:

PREP FUN FOLD

  1. Score 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base at 5 1/2″
  2. Cut 2 3/4″ off the front of the card base. Save this piece, it will be used.
  3. Place 2 1/4″ square piece on trimmer lining up two opposite corner points with the cutting track and cut it in half to get the triangle piece.

ASSEMBLE FUN FOLD

Note: Make sure to do all stamping or embossing and adhere all DSP prior to assembly.

  1. Center the cut off piece horizontally on the card base to determine where to add liquid glue.
  2. Add glue to the back, left side of the piece being careful not to glue the card shut.
  3. Open the card base up, with front facing down, lay the interior sentiment mat on top of the exterior cut off piece, and line up the edges.
  4. Add liquid glue to the back of the sentiment mat.
  5. Close the back of the card base over the front of the card base to adhere the sentiment mat.
  6. Add Tear & Tap to the 2 outer edger of the triangle piece, remove backing, then line up the edges with the lower right corner edges of the card base and adhere.

ASSEMBLE THE INSIDE

  • Adhere the strip of DSP #1 to the bottom of the Basic White mat.
  • Adhere the remaining punched image, centered, to the bottom of the mat.
  • Adhere the Basic White mat to the Calypso Coral mat and add compiled mat to the inside of the card base.

Don’t forget to decorate the envelope!

The fun of receiving snail mail begins with the envelope.

Decorate the envelope by stamping a berry branch in the front, lower left corner.

Other ways to decorate an envelope include:

  • Dry embossing the envelope flap.
  • Stamp the envelope flap, along the left edge, or across the bottom.
  • Adhere DSP on the envelope flap, or along the front left edge and/or across the bottom.
  • Die cut a label out of DSP large enough to adhere a mailing label on top of it, yet still be able to see the design of the DSP around peaking out around the edges.
