CARD TO CASE

I received this adorable card from my dear friend Anna. I liked the layout and challenged myself to create a version of this card using a vertical layout instead. She combined the Them Bones Suite and Tricks & Treats Bundle to create this card.

MY VERSION

CARD FRONT

I build a vertical version of Anna’s horizontal card layout. Further changes to my card included changing the color scheme, focusing on the Bag of Bones Bundle, and including the Throughout The Year stamp set. I also embellished my card differently by with the double bat feature consisting of a black die cut bat with an adhesive glow-in-the-dark bat on top of it.

TIP: The card base mat is actually 2 pieces of DSP. No need cover up DSP that won’t be seen.
The other 2 compiled mats are popped up with dimensionals. All other pieces are glued directly to the mats. That said, I did add dimensionals to the parts of the skeleton that hang over the top compiled mat to give them support and prevent them from being damaged.

Note: The sentiment, dog, and skeleton are stamped with Stazon Ink on Glow-in-the-Dark DSP.
If you don’t have Stazon Ink you will want to dry your stamped image with the Heat Tool after stamping to prevent the ink from smeering.

CARD INSIDE

For my inside I added a coordinating strip of paper along the bottom of the Basic White mat, a matching die cut kitty, and stamped a few bats.

The kitty is stamped on Glow-in-the-Dark DSP.

Don't forget to decorate the envelope!

The envelope is the where the excitement of receiving
snail mail begins.

For my envelope I went simple and stamped the left corner, edge, and bottom with bats.
