Card #5 Using Inked Botanicals Suite

Card #5 for the Inked Botanicals Suite (Inked & Tiled Bundle) used Very Vanilla for the primary color, which allows the punched elements to pop off the card front.
The outcome is a simple card that is easy to reproduce.

Using the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack I punched 3 “X” elements out of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper and 1 star element out of the Inked Botanicals DSP.

I then turned them upside down and laid them together so they fit snugly with the star locking into the “X” elements on both sides and the edges of the final “X” element fitting tightly against the adjoining “X” elements edges. When all were aligned on top and bottom, I taped them together to create a single focal element and then added dimensionals to the back.

I determined placement of the focal element and stamped the exterior sentiment from the Inked & Tiled stamp set, centering it just below the 2 “X” elements on the right side of the focal element.

Before removing the focal element I lightly traced pencil marks in the crook of the punched “X” element on both ends, so I knew where to align it when adhering to mat after embossing.

I dry embossed the Very Vanilla mat using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

To add a little extra detail, I wrapped a piece of the Gold & Very Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon around the front of the mat and adhered it to Tear & Tape on the back edges.

I then added dimensionals to the back of the mat and then adhered it to the Very Vanilla card base.

I then adhered to the focal element to the Very Vanilla mat making sure it lines up with the pencil marks I made earlier.

To embellished the card I added 4 Festive Pearls in green, placing 3 in the center of each Distressed Gold “X” element and 1 just above the bottom point on the star punched element.

For the inside of the card, I wrapped a piece of the ribbon around the card securing both ends with a small piece of Tear & Tape. I then added Tear & Tape to the back of the remaining “X” element and adhered it over the ribbon ends.

Note: ribbon will be seen on the back of card.

Don’t forget to decorate the envelope!

The fun of receiving snail mail begins with the envelope.

I simply decorated the flap of this envelope with a piece of coordinating Inked Botanicals DSP then placed a coordinating strip across the bottom on the front of the envelope.
