Inked Botanical Suite Thank You Card

For this card I used the soft color combination of Lost Lagoon , Petal Pink, and Calypso Coral inspired by the 3 sheets of DSP I chose to use from the Inked Botanicals Suite.

MEASUREMENT

Card Base – 4 1/4″ x 11″ score @ 5 1/2″ (29.5cm x 10.4cm scored @ 14.6); Scrap
DSP #1 – 3 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ (9.5cm x 6.6cm)
DSP #2 – 2 5/8″ x 2 5/8″ (6.6cm x 6.6cm); 6″ x 2 1/4″ (15.2cm x 6.6cm); Scrap
DSP #3 – Scrap
Basic White, 2 pieces – 4″ x 5 1/4″ (10.1cm x 14.6cm); Scrap

PREP THE FRONT

Using the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack, punch 1 star from Basic White scrap and 1 star from DSP #2.
Die cut the following:
~Position & secure Stylish Shapes square die #2 (largest to smallest.) to DSP #2.
~Position & secure Stylish Shapes dies #1 to Lost Lagoon Scrap.
~Position & secure largest short banner die to DSP#3. You will need 3 pieces.
~ Position & Secure longer, thinner banner die to DSP#3.
~Run all through the SCEM.
Stamp the “Thank You” sentiment on the Basic White Star in Calypso Coral. Roll the edges of the star on the ink pad to add a slight border of color to the punched image.
Stamp the interior sentiment on the interior mat.

ASSEMBLE CARD

Adhere the rectangular piece of DSP #1 to the bottom of the Basic White mat.
Make sure to leave a white border around the DSP.
Flip the Basic White mat over and add Tear & Tape to both left and right edges over the area where the DSP ends and the white mat begins.
Flip card back over and wrap a piece of Herringbone Ribbon around the front of the card along the DSP seam and adhere it to the Tear & Tape on the back of the mat.
Adhere the DSP square to the coordinating Lost Lagoon mat. Place the compiled mat on the white mat in the upper left area. (Do not adhere.)
Position the 2 chubby, short banners under the compiled mat allowing the flagged ends to stick out on the right side of the compiled square. When satisfied adhere banners directly to the card base and then secure the compiled Adhere the remaining chubby, short banner centered on the DSP at the bottom of the card.
Center and adhere the exterior star sentiment on the banner.
Embellish by
~add a knot to the ribbon.
~Add 1 large Iridescent Pastel Gem to each flag and 1 small on to the sentiment star.
~Add 1 Brushed Brass Butterfly to the square.

ASSEMBLE THE INSIDE

Center and adhere the remaining long, thin banner to the bottom of the interior mat.
Center and adhere the remaining DSP punched star on the banner.

Don’t forget to decorate the envelope!

The fun of receiving snail mail begins with the envelope.

For this envelope I adhered a piece of coordinating DSP to the envelope flap and the remaining DSP star on the front in the lower left corner.

Other ways to decorate an envelope include:

Dry emboss the envelope flap.
Stamp the envelope flap, along the left front edge, or across the bottom of the front.
Adhere DSP along the front left edge and/or across the bottom.
Die Cut a label out of DSP large enough to adhere a mailing label of the addressee on it and still see the design of the DSP peaking out around the edges of the mailing label.
