Welcome to the February 2024 Inspirations In Ink Blog Hop!

Thank you for visiting my page. The Inspirations In Ink team is
a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators world-wide who have
banned together to provide you with inspiration while creating handmade cards.

Today’s Hop features the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle (Poetic Expressions Suite). The pressed and inked flowers, leaves, and other botanical images illustrated in the DSP and stamps will bring new life to to your handcrafted cards with design elements inspired by texture of nature.

My card, although simple, shows off the stamps and DSP included in this Suite.

This Suite includes: The Inked & Tiled stamp set, Inked & Tiled Punch Pack (2 punches), Botanical Inked DSP, and Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon. The color palette of the DSP include: Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Lost Lagoon, and Pool Party.

This is a very basic card layout with Lost Lagoon card base with a double mat made up of Basic White and Poetic Expressions DSP. Next I added a 2″ Basic White mat with a different piece of Poetic Expressions DSP on top and added it toward the bottom of the card base.

I thstamped the humming bird and blossom images and colored them using Stamin” Up!’s Watercolor Pencils and die cut are part of the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle.

Ink color: Lost Lagoon

I stamped images the images in Lost Lagoon ink and the colored them with Water colored pencils. Once completed I blended out the rough pencil lines with a blender pen.

I used Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, and Melon Mambo to color the humming bird. I colored the blossom with Blue, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green, and Shaded Spruce.

Once I completed the stamping and coloring I secured the coordinating dies. Then I secured the Rectangular Label die #4 on a piece of Basic White Scrap and ran all through the SCEM

Inside

Add a strip of Poetic Expressions DSP to the bottom of the Basic White mat and adhere to the inside of the card.

Don’t forget to decorate the envelope!

The fun of receiving snail mail begins with the envelope.

I simply added a coordinating piece of Poetic Expressions DSP to the envelope flap.
