Gather your supplies. Its time to create with the Cheerful Daisies Bundle.
Recipients will love the vibrant and refreshing look of this card.

There is a lot happening with Stampin’ Up! All sale and update can be found toward the end of this post.

Today’s card is a combination of DSP, stamped images, and embossing built on a Basic White card base giving it a bright and refreshing vibe.

I began with the Crushed Curry striped cut apart from the Fresh As A Daisy DSP. My color scheme includes Garden Green, Crushed Curry, and Copper Clay.

MEASUREMENTS

  • Card Base, Basic White – 4 1/4″ x 11″ score @ 5 1/2″
  • Mat 1, Garden Green – 3″ x 4 1/4″
  • Fresh As A Daisy DSP – 2 3/4″ x 4″
  • Scrap – Basic White

PREP THE CARD

  • Stamp the following images on Basic White scrap:
~1 large, 2 small, and 1 half outline daisies with Crushed Curry ink.
~Stamp centers in the 2 small daisies and the half daisy using Copper Clay ink.
~ 5 leaves with a combination of 1st and 2nd generation Garden Green ink.
~1 large daisy center in Copper Clay ink.
~ Exterior sentiment in Garden Green ink.
  • Color in the outline daisy stamps by inking up the coordinating filler stamps and stamping them with 2nd generation Crushed Curry ink.
2nd generation stamping is accomplished by inking up the stamp and stamping it off on a
piece of scrap paper. The ink remaining on the stamp is 2nd generation ink.
  •  Position and secure coordinating dies from the Cheerful Daisies Die around daisy parts and the sentiment then run all through the SCEM.
  • Use a Sponge Dauber to frame the sentiment label with Garden Green Ink.
  • Starting at the top position the front of the card base in the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder with the stripes running horizontal across the front. Run through the SCEM.
  • Repeat the above process with the bottom half of the card front.

ASSEMBLE THE FRONT

  • Adhere the Garden Green mat to the center of the card base.
  • Angle the DSP toward the left and adhere the DSP to the Garden Green mat.
  • Arrange the daisies around the label and adhere together. Add dimensionals to the back of the focal piece and adhere to card base. Be sure to leave room aroung the edges of the focal piece so other features can be added after the fact.
  • Arrange the leaves around the daisies and adhere with liquid glue directly to the card base.
  • Add a dimensional to the large daisy center then adhere it to the large daisy.

EMBELLISH

  • Tie a bow using Herringbone Ribbon and adhere it with Glue Dots to the bottom right corner of the the sentiment label.
  • Wink of Stella the daisy petals.
  • Embellish with gems of your choice.

ASSEMBLE THE INSIDE

  • Stamp the interior sentiment on the card base.
  • Adhere the half daisy  in the bottom right corner .

Don’t forget to decorate the envelope!

The fun of receiving snail mail begins with the envelope.

I embossed the envelope flap and then stamped a single large daisy in the front lower left corner.

Other ways to decorate an envelope include:

  • Add a piece of coordinating DSP to the envelope flap.
  • Stamped the envelope flap, along the left edge or across the bottom.
  • Adhere DSP along the front left edge and/or across the bottom.
  • Die Cut a label out of DSP large enough to adhere a mailing label of the addressee on it and still see the design of the DSP peaking out around the edges of the mailing label.
