Forever Forest: CASE & Alter

Are you one of those people who like to CASE cards, but are afraid to alter them? Then this post is for you!

If you are new to the card making game or think your not very creative, CASEing is a great route to go. But CASEing should also be a source of inspiration. Make the card your own whether by changing colors, using different DSP or embellishments, or a completely different bundle all together. Make the next card you CASE your own.

Let’s CASE & alter today’s card.
The card kit I am using is one that I received when attending a demonstrator event in early September. It is one of many kits I received and that I turned into my own, so let’s create todays card, but remember to add your own spin no matter how small.

Are you an outdoor buff or have some in you life that is? The Forever Forest Bundle is filled with coniferous trees of varying sizes and a variety of dies that allow you to create outdoor scenes. An added bonus, this set is perfect for creating both masculine and feminine cards.

Take note, this bundle does not have any sentiments, so supplement with what you have in your collection.

CARD TO CASE

The kit I received included supplies to create
this card.
(Creator, Christine Bertram, Cards by Chris B.)

I love this card and would enjoy receiving it, but sending it out, I want it to make it my own by adding a few subtle tweaks.

MY VERSION

CARD FRONT

Here is my version of the card.
The changes are ever so slight, but noticeable. Remember when CASEing a card you should be making it yours.

The one thing I forget and would definitely do if I made this card again is highlight the markings on my mountain die cut with white ink, but you do you.

CARD INSIDE

I didn’t change the inside of the card. Had I been familiar with the set, and owned it, I definitely would’ve stamped the inside a bit differently. That said, this inside is still perfect for the card’s theme.

Don't forget to decorate the envelope!

The envelope is the where the excitement of receiving
snail mail begins.

I stamped the envelope exactly the same as the inside of the card. Again, had I owned the set I would have stamped it differently, but we work with what we have.

A list of products used can be found at the end of this post.
