SALE-a-bration of Thanks Card
Day At The Farm DSP
As SALE-a-bration continues I wanted to use more products from the
JF SALE-a-bration catalog that would also coordinate with this months
Wednesday focus. One of my favorite products in the catalog is the Day At
The Farm DSP, so that is what I used for the inspiration on this card.
I started with the Day At The Farm DSP and combined it with the Thanks A Bunch stamp set.
The bottom strip on the front of the card adds a small amount of dimension that will affect how flat the two square pieces lay, so before adhering the square pieces to the card I glued a small piece of Crushed Curry card stock to the top area on back of the squares. This added step allows the squares to lay even with the bottom strip.
The big “Thanks” is from the Amazing Thanks Dies currently available in the Annual Catalog. Before running the shadow layer through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I added a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheeting, cut to size, to the back of the Cherry Cobbler.
The basic White “thanks” layer is delicate and can be difficult to add glue to once it is cut out, so I cut a piece of Adhesive Sheets to size and added it to the back of the Basic White card stock. Then I just peeled off the backing of the “thanks” layer when I was ready to add it to the Cherry Cobbler shadow piece.
Finally, I finished the card by adding a few Festive Pearls.
I wanted to add a little more pop than normal to the inside of the card so I stamped the sentiment on Basic White and matted it with a piece of Crushed Curry.
I then added a 3 layer strip of Cruched Curry & DSP to the bottom of the mat.
Don’t forget to decorate your envelope! The envelope is where the fun of receiving snail mail begins.
