Creating with the
Season of Chic Bundle

Have you checked out the Season of Chic Bundle?

The multi-seasonal stamps in this bundle have a vintage or worn look to them when stamped. The coordinating dies allow you to add the flourishes necessary to create a card with the Shabby Chic feel.

The Season of Chic Bundle is part of the The Texture Chic Suite which also includes the Texture Chic DSP and Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. All these elements make creating beautiful vintage looking birthday and thank you cards a breeze.

I will be highlighting the Season of Chic bundle every Wednesday during October. If you make a $50 purchase from my store during the month of October you will receive the Inspirations In Ink Tutorial Bundle for free.

This tutorial features projects created by 7 talented Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators world-wide.

Chic Shells Birthday Card

The soft colors of the Texture Chic DSP along with the gold die cuts, gold ribbon. and Champaign rhinestones give  this birthday card a vintage elegance.

Colors for the card include: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Petal Pink, and Basic White.

  1. Using the Deckled Rectangle Dies, I die cut the the Linen Specialty Paper and the DSP.The shells were cut from Gold Foil, and with the Chic Dies, and the circles were cut with the Layering Circle Dies.
  2. The I blended Crumb Cake ink onto the Linen paper to give it an old worn look.
  3. Then I adhered the DSP at an angle to the Linen Paper. Carefully, I wrapped the Gold Shimmer Ribbon around the two layers and adhered the Linen Paper to the card base at n angle.(Note: The Linen Paper is extremely flimsy and is adhesive backed, so this is tricky.)
  4. Using Soft Suede ink I stamped the the splotch stamp around the edge of the card base and Petal Pink circles. With both Petal Pink and Soft Suede ink, I stamped the edges of the Basic White circle and sentiment in Soft Suede.
  5. Next I arranged the circles and adhered them to the card base and attached the shell die cuts.
  6. Finally I attached a bow and added a total of 6  Champaign Rhinestones.

Don’t forget to  decorate the inside of the card and the envelope! Remeber, the fun of recieving snail mail begins with the envelope!
