Directions
This card is built vertically.
Cut card base, mats, and other specified pieces as listed in the Materials & Measurements Section.
On Basic White scrap, stamp the tree trunk in Cinnamon Cider, tree top -layer 1 in Cinnamon Cider, leaves layer 2 in Old Olive, and exterior sentiment and interior sentiment in Cinnamon Cider.
Line up the Dies with the stamped images and secure. Secure the bird die to Cinnamon Cider scrap. Run through the SCEM to cut.
Add color around the edge of the label by rubbing your dauber or craft sponge in Cinnamon Cider Ink. Then with dauber on the front edge of the label pull it toward the back of the label. Repeat until edge of label is completely colored.
Center Vellum on top of the DSP mat and adhere. Then adhere DSP to Cinnamon Cider card base. (I recommend using a small amount of Seal or Seal+ to adhere. Keep adhesive in the middle of the Vellum so the tree will hide its presence.)
Add a small amount of glue to the very bottom of the treetop and gently adhere it to the trunk. Then add dimensionals to the back of the treetop and very top of the trunk. (Be sure dimensionals secure the tree branches to the tree to.) Add some glue to the trunk and secure tree centered on the Vellum toward the bottom of the mat.
Place dimensionals on back of the label and adhere on the right side of mat slightly overlapping the base of the tree trunk. (See photo above.)
Add a dot of glue to the back of the bird and secure to top right corner of the label.
Don’t forget to decorate the envelope! The joy of receiving snail mail begins with the envelope.
Adhere DSP to envelop flap. Trim around flap to remove excess. (Note: I always place paper 1/16” – 1/8” below the flap score line. This will ensure that the flap fold over nicely and the envelope seal appropriately.)
