The Stamping Muse

Across the Waves July Blog Hop

Welcome to Christmas in August! It’s Time to hop along with the Inspirations in Ink Team.

Thank you for participating in our team hop and visiting my blog today. The Inspirations In Ink team is a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators world-wide who have banned together to provide you with inspiration for creating handmade cards. I hope you will continue on the hop by clicking on the Blog Roll at the end of this post. Don’t forget when visiting to leave them a little “love.” Please ask if you have any questions.

Lights Aglow Christmas Tree Window Card

I was asked to create a board for an event that I attended. The Lights Aglow Suite was my assignment. Originally it wasn’t even on my radar, but once I started working with it I was so glad it had been assigned to me.

The Lights Aglow Suite comes with two Bundles (Christmas Lights and Brightest Glow), three packs of paper (Festive Foils, Glimmer Specialty Paper, Lights Aglow DSP), and two embellishments (Festive Pearls, Gold & Vanilla 3/8″ Satin Ribbon), so I had a lot of material to work with. That said I also found that this Suite easily mixed with many of the other sets in the July – December Mini Catalog.

To create my Christmas Lights Window card I combined Christmas Lights Bundle, Brightest Lights Stamp set, the Window Wishes Bundle, and the Painted Texture embossing folder. I incorporated the technique of heat embossing as well to give the card sophisticated elegance.

Measurements and assembly instructions can be found by clicking on the button above. If you CASE this card, or create a version of it, I would love to see it. Please share it using the hashtag #tsmchristmaslightswindow.
